Sustainment

Intellisense Systems provides advanced defense electronics that bolster mission readiness and maintain the U.S. military’s advantage in every domain. Delivering the best electronic solutions and technology insertions requires sustainment practices to ensure critical parts, vehicles, and systems are ready to serve in any conflict. Intellisense is committed to prolonging the service life of critical systems and vehicles to support our armed forces and ensure operational success.

After a sale, we are with you for years to ensure the availability and effectiveness of our solutions.

At Intellisense, we create systems that last longer and require less support to reducing costs for customers and increasing their return on investment. To support that aim, we abide by integrated product support (IPS) and integrated logistics support (ILS) elements from the Defense Acquisition University. These elements support and extend the life cycle of critical components and platforms, as well as save on costs and improve efficiency.

Product Support Management

At Intellisense, every solution we devise, develop, and implement product support strategies to ensure the sustainment and supportability of our offerings. To ensure reliability, availability, and maintainability, we employ open system architectures to enable upgradability and interoperability, as well as minimize moving parts for all our products. These strategies not only bolster availability and greatly improve repair turnaround times, but also significantly reduce ownership costs for customers.

Maintenance Planning & Management

All our products and solutions serve critical roles in essential missions and operations, so we ensure the reliability of our offerings with maintenance planning and management. Our three-year annual maintenance delivers peace of mind and assurance that quality repairs are completed with original equipment manufacturer parts. Our electronics, sensors, and embedded systems also improve prognostic and predictive maintenance (PPMx).

Design Interfaces

To bolster reliability and sustainment, we implement a modular open systems architecture (MOSA) standard in all our electronics and visualization solutions. MOSA-compliant products enable future growth by accepting software upgrades, and later become the basis for new solutions. This approach also ensures interoperability for a variety of platforms or programs. See how we are devising new open systems approaches for electronics and componentry across aircraft, ground vehicles, and watercraft:

Supply Support with Accessories & Spares

The limited availability of spare parts and accessories can render entire vehicles or services obsolete. That’s why Intellisense devotes space, time, and resources to ensuring componentry is always available for our clients’ systems and solutions. We have implemented a material requirements planning (MRP) system to meet sustainment demands and anticipate changes in componentry. We are also introducing a paperless traveler system to collect more engineering data and improve our manufacturing processes.

Sustaining Engineering

Thanks to our MOSA-compliant solutions that improve PPMx, Intellisense bolsters the continued operation and maintenance of a system with reduced risk. We offer form-fit-function replacements that greatly enhance systems beyond their baseline configurations and capacity. And thanks to open systems approach for hardware and software upgrades, our solutions offer upgradability and future-proofing to keep vehicles and support systems working for decades to come.
