It supports modernization programs and future-proofing with an open systems architecture that enables growth and interface compatibility while enabling customer OFP installation. Based on a completely modular design, the SVDT–0505 improves reliability, situational awareness and optical performance while decreasing weight, pilot workload, and lifecycle costs.
The SVDT-0505 features four VITA 65 3U OpenVPX slots, which maximizes upgradeability and interoperability with custom modules. The advanced Single Board Computer (SBC) offers powerful processing and graphics capability with 7th Generation CPU and HD Graphics GPU. The system is designed for a wide variety of avionics interfacing capability, with two Gigabit Ethernet and multiple DVI-D interfaces. It can also be optioned with H.264 pod video and sensors in a primary flight display scenario.
The SVDT-0505 is completely customizable with optional RS-422, USB, and Ethernet signal interfaces. The bezel can include up to 20 user-defined pushbuttons, 4 rocker switches, and a rotary dial. These options make it the most advanced control display available today.
