The Video Display Terminal 6 x 8 (VDT-0608) is a mission-ready, multi-function display that is backwards compatible with legacy XGA resolution (1024 x 768) format displays. With a completely modular design that can support avionics open architecture to enable future growth and compatibility, the VDT-0608 serves as a form-fit-function replacement for existing displays while improving both reliability and optical performance. It delivers enhanced video capability while decreasing weight thanks to technological advances like high efficiency solid-state lighting. The display also features a fully customizable bezel with options for pushbuttons, rocker switches, rotary knobs, ambient light sensors, and an inclinometer.

The VDT-0608 is available with vFusion™ technology. Short for “video fusion,” vFusion enables 2-4 screens to be combined for split-screen and picture-in-picture with zoom capabilities. This technology also allows for image tiling, windowing, and overlays with alpha blending. With vFusion, pilots can readily access the key information they need to execute safe operations, all from a single, robust package.

The VDT-0608 also features In-Plane Switching (IPS) display technology for improved viewing angles and color performance. It is fully ruggedized for airborne operational environments and includes selectable day and night (NVIS-compliant) LED backlight and NVIS-compliant bezel.
