Intellisense Systems’ Video Display Terminal 12 x 9 (VDT-1209) is a combat systems operator display that is backwards compatible with legacy XGA resolution (1024 x 768) format displays. The VDT-1209 boasts a modular design and supports avionics open architecture (e.g. ARINC-818 ADVB) which allows for future growth and compatibility. This enables a form-fit-function replacement for existing 15-inch displays while improving reliability and decreasing weight due to leveraging advances in components including high efficiency solid-state lighting.
The VDT-1209 is available with vFusion™ technology, which enables 2-4 screens to be combined on a single display with split-screen and picture-in-picture capabilities. This technology allows for tiling, windowing, and overlays with alpha blending. With vFusion, pilots can readily access the key information they need to execute safe operations, all from a single, robust package.
It is fully ruggedized for airborne operational environments and includes selectable day and night (NVIS-compliant) LED backlight and NVIS-compliant bezel. The VDT-1209 also includes an integrated heater for low temperature operation.
