Intellisense’s power distribution capabilities deliver reliable, high-performance, and safety-critical designs that improve prognostic and preventative maintenance (PPMx) and improving mission readiness for a variety of military platforms.
From aircraft to ground vehicles, we modernize legacy power supply modules with advanced electronic circuit breakers that bolster availability, mitigates diminishing manufacturing sources, and reduces overall costs. Our intelligent power systems address all modular open systems architecture (MOSA) acquisition needs so that they are upgradable and insertable for a variety of platforms. These solutions also decrease weight, increase fuel efficiency, and improve the Mission Capable Rate, range, and lethality of mission critical vehicles.
Product Info
Intellisense’s Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is a modular, expandable, form-fit-function replacements that draws on our experience of reliable, rugged, and prove avionics products. It enables operators to monitor breaker status and to remotely control the electronic power distribution throughout the platform. The PDU is configurable and highly adaptable for a variety of vehicle platforms, and the design includes partitioning for fault tolerance and failover.
Key Features
Intellisense is currently devising smart power distribution functions for future airborne platforms. Using a unique Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE)-conformant power services software and novel hardware architectures, smart power distribution from Intellisense offers maximally efficient source-load matching for all phases of a mission. It can either serve as an aircraft power controller, or automatically coordinate power to optimize performance.
For future fleet vehicles or platforms undergoing refreshes, smart power distribution enables intelligent and pre-emptive power management decisions to be made at the platform level with power controls facilitated at the line replaceable unit level. These capabilities ensure fuel savings, weight reduction, and workload reduction for the U.S. military’s current and future fleet.
