Key Features

Fully Integrated

The MWS a true all-in-one weather station. We’ve integrated the data storage, wireless communications, batteries, and solar collectors all into a small, portable three-pound unit. There are no moving parts, and no external components to be connected by wires.

Lidar Ceilometer

Our aviation-oriented units also include the worlds smallest Lidar Ceilometer that reports cloud height measurements up to 10,000 feet. These models are ideally suited to small airports, helipads, remote landing strips, and drone operations.

Standard Weather Sensors

All MWS models report highly-accurate temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed and direction, peak gusts, and precipitation amount. These are all transmitted at programmable intervals and can be viewed via Quantimet or other viewing portals.

Orientation Parameters

Each Micro Weather Station transmits its GPS location, directional orientation, and any angular tilt. This ensures that directional measurements like wind or lightning direction are always accurate regardless of the units manual siting.

Additional Sensors and 360° Camera

Most MWS models also report present weather, visibility, dust accumulation, and lightning distance and direction. These units also host a 360° panoramic camera that captures and transmits visual imagery for further situational awareness.

Easy to Use

The MWS is very easy to set up and use. There is only one switch to turn on and no wires or cables to connect. It begins collecting data within the first minute. The MWS has a standard tri-pod mount on the bottom making it simple to mount anywhere.

Cloud Based Data Logging

Since the MWS is always connected to the cloud via the cellular or Iridium satellite communications, your data is immediately sent to the cloud as it is collected. It is securely stored, and you can access it immediately from any internet connected device.

Quantimet: Environmental Data Right in Your Hands

Quantimet is the cloud-based software solution from Intellisense Systems that enables you to access and export data from Internet of Things (IoT) connected environmental sensors at any time and from anywhere. With Quantimet, you can view data, receive status updates, and remotely command meteorological, acoustic, and flood sensors based around the world from any Internet-enabled device. This service stores your data using a cloud-based data logger so it is always available, helping prevent lengthy trips into the field where your devices are located.

With a clear world map and user-friendly interface, Quantimet delivers a complete overview of every one of your field-emplaced sensors on all seven continents. You can also plot and visualize trends, as well as retrieve images from the sensor site. Intellisense also ensures the security of your sensors by disabling GPS reporting and sending alerts to movement or tampering.

A Proven Solution to Prepare for Climate Change

In recent years, warmer temperatures due to climate change have produced an unprecedented number of extreme weather events. From stronger hurricanes to persistent wildfires, every person on the planet has been forced to adapt to a new climate reality.

Fortunately, the MWS from Intellisense Systems has already been deployed on the front lines of record-setting weather events. The MWS provided key data throughout rescue and recovery efforts following Hurricane Michael, the third strongest Atlantic hurricane to make landfall in the United States. These weather stations were also invaluable to firefighters combating the record-breaking Thomas Fire, where they stood on the front lines of the fire to collect essential weather data and keep firefighters out of harm’s way. An MWS is also assisting in the construction of a clean, geothermal energy plant on a remote island off the coast of Alaska.

The rugged, resilient MWS is ready to help communities, agencies, and organizations prepare for extreme weather events and remain resilient to the perilous conditions brought on by climate change.
